The King's Head stands on Orford's market square in a Grade II listed building dating to the 16th century, its licence recorded as far back as 1700. Now run by Auberge Orford Ltd as a free house, it moved on from its earlier years as an Adnams tenancy and stocks up to six cask ales from independent regional breweries alongside guest beers. The kitchen serves pub classics and a daily specials board, with Sunday roasts of pork, beef or lamb. En-suite bed and breakfast rooms sit above the bar, and the pub hosts occasional Friday folk and sea shanty sessions. It closes on Mondays and welcomes dogs throughout.
