The Long Shop Museum occupies the former Garrett works on Main Street, Leiston, centred on the 1852 Long Shop, built as the first purpose-built flow-line assembly hall for portable steam engines. Run by the Association for Suffolk Museums, an independent charity, the site traces the Garrett family's engineering history, from agricultural machinery and steam tractors to the wider Garrett family story, including sisters Elizabeth Garrett Anderson and Millicent Garrett Fawcett. Exhibits also cover the works' First World War munitions production and the Theberton Zeppelin crash. A steam tractor nicknamed The Joker sits among the collection, alongside a picnic garden and gift shop.
