Trustans Barn

Trustans Barn is a bed and breakfast run by Rosie and Sally from a converted barn on Trustans Farm, off the Westleton Road at Darsham, between Saxmundham and the Suffolk Heritage Coast. The company was incorporated in 2013 and offers six ensuite rooms, each converted from farm buildings and set in meadowland, with views over the surrounding fields rather than the coast itself. Its position on the A12 corridor puts it within easy reach of Southwold, Aldeburgh, Dunwich Heath and Yoxford, making it a base for guests visiting the coast without staying directly in the more expensive seaside towns. The farm setting draws walkers and birdwatchers using the nearby heathland reserves, and the barn conversion keeps original agricultural features alongside modern ensuite bathrooms. As a smaller, family-run guest house rather than a hotel, it depends on repeat bookings and direct recommendations more than passing trade off the main road.
