A volunteer-run social club on Wood Street in Bolton, founded in 1886 and based in its Wood Street building since 1905, making it the oldest surviving independent socialist club in the country. It hosts live music, spoken word and political meetings, having reopened on May Day 1984 after a period of financial difficulty.
