Kerry Hughes and her husband Lee opened Cafe Braz on King Street in October 2010, running a fully licensed bistro cafe in the centre of Llandeilo. The kitchen turns out homemade meals and cakes made from local produce, alongside Lavazza coffee, wine and bottled beers, serving breakfast through to afternoon coffee and cake. Trading hours stretch later on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, when the cafe operates more as a licensed bar than a daytime stop, while Sunday opening is seasonal and drops away over the winter months. The cafe has kept the same King Street address and the same ownership since it opened, weathering the changes on the high street that have closed other independent operators nearby. Booking is recommended on weekend evenings when the later opening draws a steady crowd for drinks as well as food.
