Noisy NewtBooks

Rhiannon Fielder-Hobbs opened Noisy Newt Books, known in Welsh as Llyfrau Madfall Swnllyd, at 4 Market Street in Llandeilo on 23 August 2025. A published poet and member of Literature Wales's Representing Wales cohort, she stocks new titles next to a curated run of secondhand books, spanning picture books, poetry, nature writing and novels in both Welsh and English, with a deliberate weighting toward Welsh literature. Customers can special-order any title not already on the shelves. Gifts and cards fill out the stock alongside the books. The shop keeps a five-day week, open Tuesday to Saturday with hours varying by day, closed Sunday and Monday except on bank holidays.
