E.W. Revett & Son has traded as a butcher in Wickham Market since 1962, when Edgar Revett took over a former fish and chip shop at 81 High Street, having outgrown his original butchery on Woodbridge's Thoroughfare, which was later sold to a London firm. The closely guarded Revett sausage recipe was developed that same year and remains in use today. Edgar's son Phillip Revett took over running the shop in the mid-1970s, and Gary Garnham, who joined the business in 1979, is now proprietor. The single-site shop sells traditional butchery, sausages, a delicatessen counter, bakery goods and wine, alongside fruit and vegetables sourced through a Debenham supplier and seasonal produce such as Cox apples grown in nearby Kenton.
