Ginhaus is exactly what the name promises and more — a deli and a gin bar in one, on Llandeilo's Market Street, with one of the largest gin selections in Wales alongside a proper delicatessen counter. Mike and Kate Kindred met in the Three Tuns, the pub that used to occupy the building, and years later took it over and turned it into this: cheese and charcuterie, Welsh and continental produce, wood-fired pizza in the evenings, and a wall of gin that gives the place its name and its reputation. Llandeilo is a handsome small town in the Tywi valley that has quietly become one of Carmarthenshire's best places to eat and drink, and Ginhaus is at the centre of that — deli by day, somewhere to settle in with a gin and a board by night. A double act that shouldn't quite work and entirely does, run by the couple whose idea it was, which is why it feels like theirs rather than a concept.
