Independent Spiritof Bath

Independent Spirit of Bath was founded in 2013 by Chris Scullion and Christian Morrish, two former bartenders who judged that Bath lacked a shop dedicated to spirits. It trades from a single Georgian-era building on Terrace Walk, close to Parade Gardens and Bath Abbey, stocking single malt whiskies, cocktail-grade spirits, wine and one of the region's wider selections of craft and world beer. A tasting room in the basement, built around an original fireplace, hosts regular tastings and masterclasses drawing on the founders' combined background in the cocktail trade. The shop remains a single retail site rather than a chain, and its position in a building dating to the early 1700s ties it into one of the oldest streets in the city centre.
