Jarva Gallery

An independent contemporary gallery run by artist Lyndsey within The Crescent in central Buxton. The space shows a curated mix of original painting, bronze sculpture, ceramics and jewellery from both local Derbyshire makers and international artists, chosen for individuality rather than volume, and it also carries Lyndsey's own jewellery under the Jarva Jewels name. Featured names have included Michael James Talbot and David Meredith among others. Alongside gallery sales it offers home viewings so buyers can see a piece in situ before committing, interest-free finance on selected works and free mainland delivery. It is a single-site commercial gallery, independently owned rather than part of a group, occupying a unit within the restored Georgian crescent. Opening tends to follow the building's visitor hours, so checking ahead is worthwhile for a specific artist or piece.
