Leith Framing Studio has operated from 336b Leith Walk, entered through the Handsel shop, since the company was incorporated in March 2016 under director James Sutherland. The workshop cuts and finishes bespoke frames on site, from plain wood mouldings to gilded finishes, alongside window and float mounting on acid-free card, canvas stretching for artists' work, and dry mounting for posters and prints. Framing is done for exhibitions as well as everyday jobs such as photographs, prints, paintings and sports shirts, with a choice of glazing including UV-filtering and near-invisible glass. It is a small, single-site operation rather than a framing chain, with phone enquiries answered on weekday mornings and afternoons. The shop keeps regular walk-in hours Monday to Saturday, ten until six, with completed orders also available for collection on Sunday mornings.
