A bakery has traded from Newton's Corner on London Road since the 1850s. The Dales family bought the business in 1980 and now run it into a third generation, scratch-baking bread, pastries and savouries daily on the premises. London Road Bakery, one of only two traditional bakeries remaining in Boston, also stocks fresh produce, chilled meals and off-licence goods, and takes catering orders for groups under thirty, with 48 hours' notice required for afternoon tea. The shop keeps notably long hours, opening from 4:30am on weekdays and Saturdays and from 5am on Sundays, both until 9pm.
