Louise Crookenden-Johnson runs a pottery studio from a purpose-built space down the garden path of her home on Headlands in Kettering. She studied ceramics at Loughborough College of Art between 1987 and 1991 and has worked with clay on and off ever since, returning to it full time after raising her children. Her wheel-throwing classes take a maximum of four adults at a time over a two-hour session, aimed at complete beginners aged sixteen and over who want hands-on help learning to centre and throw a pot. She also sells her own handmade pottery, including birds, animals and pet portraits, as gifts and home décor. Sessions run by appointment during the day, in the evening and at weekends, bookable through her own website or through ClassBento, with private sessions available for small groups.
