A micropub occupying a converted shop unit on Wellingborough High Street, The Little Ale House seats around 30 and trades on conversation rather than music or fruit machines. Owners Tracie Clarke-Piggott and Alan run five rotating cask ales, served by handpump and gravity, alongside draught ciders and a range of gins, wines and whiskies. Beers come mainly from Northamptonshire and neighbouring counties, with ciders drawn from local producers such as Addington as well as Somerset, Wales and Herefordshire. A small rear garden opens in warmer months, and the calendar includes regular quiz nights. The pub took the CAMRA Wellingborough branch Town Pub of the Year title in 2022. Light snacks are available, though drink is the focus. It is a single, independently owned room rather than part of any pub company or brewery estate.
