Monty's Brewery

Monty's is Russ and Pam Honeyman's brewery in Montgomery, the little Powys border town under its castle — a husband-and-wife business started in 2008 that grew from a few thousand pints a week into a brewery that exports, without being bought up along the way. They run a visitor centre at The Cottage in the town and remain their own bosses, brewing a range that keeps winning at the independent brewers' awards — a champion cask pale at the 2024 SIBA Wales & West awards among recent wins. On the frontier where Wales meets Shropshire, Monty's flies the Welsh flag. Call at the visitor centre and drink it where it is brewed.
