Penarth Vineyard

Penarth Vineyard has grown wine grapes on Pool Road outside Newtown since 1999, taking its first crop in 2004. Around six thousand vines of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay produce still and sparkling white and rosé wines, bottled and sold under the Penarth label. Visits and tastings run by appointment rather than fixed opening hours, reflecting its size as a family-run smallholding rather than a large commercial estate.
