Treebeards occupies part of the Grade II listed former Corn Exchange on Crickhowell's High Street, opened as a micropub during the 2020-21 lockdowns. The freehold belongs to Corn Exchange Crickhowell Limited, and the bar runs as a free house, pouring up to three real ales straight from the cask alongside a rotating list of Welsh craft beers, ciders and spirits. A recent tap was Grey Trees' Diggers Gold, a 4% session golden ale. The single small room keeps things simple: cask ale, conversation and the occasional evening of live music. It stays shut on Mondays, opens mid-afternoon Tuesday and Wednesday, and runs later into the evening from Thursday through Saturday, closing early on Sundays.
