Nelly's Yard

Nelly's Yard occupies the High Street building where local historian Nelly Copson was born in 1919 and lived until her death in 2011, a fact the family-run cafe that opened here in 2018 has kept as part of its story. The kitchen serves all-day brunch and lunch, including a breakfast bap deal, veggie options and daily soup, alongside homemade cakes and a children's play corner. Ingredients are sourced from nearby producers where possible, and seating spreads across the ground floor of the old cobbler's premises.
