Cocky Anchor

Cocky Anchor occupies a Grade II*-listed Georgian five-storey building on Broad Street dating from 1740. Ian Paxton opened the micropub in 2023 and remains its sole director as owner of Cocky Anchor (Worcester) Limited. A naval theme runs through the fittings, with ships' artefacts fixed to the ceilings and walls across the building's several floors. Three changing cask ales rotate through the bar, and a rooftop area at the top of the building gives views over the city towards the Malvern Hills. The pub also has a private events space and a snug on the lower floors alongside the main bar. It is an independent single-site business rather than part of a pub company, run day to day by its owner.
