Olive's Pots

Olive's Pots occupies a single unit in Dartmouth Market Square, opened by potter Olivia in 2020 after she left a career in hospitality management following the first coronavirus lockdown. The studio teaches hand-building and wheel-throwing to complete beginners and experienced potters alike, and produces functional tableware and decorative pieces, including personalised commissions, sold alongside the workshop space. Classes run in small groups from the Market Square premises, with no other branches or franchised locations. The founding story, a hospitality worker retraining as a maker during the pandemic, has become part of the studio's identity, and it continues to trade from the same Dartmouth address five years on.
