Pentland Plants

Pentland Plants is a family-run nursery and garden centre at Pentland Mains, on the southern edge of Loanhead in Midlothian, below the Pentland Hills. The family has grown plants on the site for more than fifty years and now raises upwards of forty million bedding, basket, perennial and herbaceous plants a year across an extensive production nursery, supplying other growers and local authorities as well as the public. The retail garden centre, open all year, sells the varieties grown on site alongside shrubs, house plants, pots, containers, bulbs and garden sundries, and includes a gift and coffee shop. Within the centre, Café Panola serves a home-cooked menu prepared on site from locally sourced produce. Staff can advise on plants suited to Scottish gardens and local growing conditions.
