The Big Plant Nursery sits on Wargrave Road in Twyford, specialising in large specimen and semi-mature plants rather than small starter stock. Rows of Japanese maples, pleached and multistem trees, topiary, conifers, bamboos and mature shrubs are arranged for customers planning an established-looking garden in one go. The nursery, which is employee-owned, also stocks ferns, grasses, hardy exotics, fruit plants and a range of pots and planters. Beyond retail, staff offer delivery, planting and an at-home consultancy service, and work alongside sister landscaping business Creative Landscape Co on full garden design projects. It is open seven days a week, from 8.30am to 5pm on weekdays and Saturdays, and slightly shorter hours on Sundays and bank holidays.
