The Blue Bean is a family-run coffee shop and cafe at 14 Sheep Street in Shipston-on-Stour, serving breakfast and lunch throughout the week. The kitchen turns out full English breakfasts, generously filled breakfast baps, toasted paninis and sandwiches, alongside French toast and a rotating counter of homemade cakes, including rock cakes, flapjack, chocolate tiffin and rocky road. Everything on the cake stand is baked on the premises. The cafe has become a regular stop for cyclists riding the surrounding Cotswold lanes, who call in for a sausage bap or a slice of cake between routes. It is dog-friendly, with a few tables outside on the street in fine weather. The cafe opens seven days a week, with longer hours from Tuesday to Friday and shorter hours at the weekend and on Monday.
