The DrawingBoard

The Drawing Board is an independent, not-for-profit gallery on Lord Street in Wrexham town centre, opened in November 2021 and run as a community interest company by directors Jacqui Blore, Margaret Forbes and Bobbi Cockcroft. The ground-floor space shows paintings, prints, ceramics and craft by artists and makers from Wrexham and the wider North-East Wales area, with work rotated through regular exhibitions and sold on a modest commission rather than a display fee. The gallery also runs workshops and community events, and has converted its first floor into studios leased to local creative professionals. It functions as both a selling gallery and a working hub for the town's artists, giving emerging names a route to exhibit alongside more established practitioners. Submissions are open to individuals and groups across the region.
