The KingsHead (Stamford)

The Kings Head is a small, family-run freehouse on Maiden Lane in Stamford, set inside a Grade II listed 19th-century stone building. A single, wood-beamed room centres on a wood-burning stove, with a sun-trap garden behind for warmer days. The bar rotates cask ales from Lincolnshire and further afield alongside bottled beers, gin, wine and spirits, and the kitchen serves a compact menu built around Sunday roasts, fish and chips, and burgers, sourced where possible from local suppliers. It is open from midday through the evening Wednesday to Sunday, closed Monday and Tuesday, and takes table bookings by email. The pub has no other branches and trades independently of any brewery tie, giving the landlord control over the beer list and food menu.
