The Toothless Mog occupies a building on the Rochdale Canal at Walsden, on the edge of Todmorden, thought to date from around 1900, and is run by husband-and-wife hosts Rob and Jan Gibson. Bedrooms look out over the canal and its lock gates towards the moors above the Calder Valley, and include en-suite and family rooms. Breakfast is served in a dining room with canal-side views, and the property also runs an evening bistro for guests and passing trade. Recent guests have noted the hosts' flexibility over breakfast timing and the quiet canal-side setting, a short walk from Walsden railway station and the shops of Todmorden itself. The building sits directly on the towpath used by walkers and cyclists following the Rochdale Canal between Hebden Bridge and Littleborough, making it a stopping point for people travelling the waterway as well as overnight guests arriving by car.
