The WhiteCliff Inn is a public house on Chester Avenue in Whitehead, beside the town's railway station and a short walk from the seafront and the Blackhead Coastal Path. The building has operated as a pub since 1894. In June 2024 the McNeill family took over and refurbished it, running it as an independent free house rather than a tied or group-owned venue. Under head chef Josh Crawford the kitchen serves brasserie-style food, with separate menus in the bar and the restaurant, alongside a drinks list and regular live music and events. The inn keeps a traditional pub character while offering sit-down dining, and its position next to the station makes it a handy stop for walkers on the coastal path. It trades as a single site under family ownership in the centre of the village.
