Wildleaf is an independent food emporium and cafe on Stanley Court in Olney, run by Cathy Dale and Matt Philcox. It combines several counters under one roof: a butchers counter carrying local meats, including Red Ruby Devon beef, Bedfordshire pork and lamb, and free-range chicken from nearby Yardley Hastings; a deli with more than forty-five cheeses from Britain and the Continent, among them Brie de Meaux aged in store; and a wider grocery of artisan and store-cupboard goods. There is also a cookshop selling kitchen equipment and a small cafe. The emphasis is on seeking out interesting small suppliers rather than stocking mainstream brands, with homemade marinades and cut-to-order meat at the counter. It trades from a single Olney site and is independently owned. For a market-town food shop it packs butcher, cheesemonger, deli and kitchen shop together.
