Aber Adventures

Aber Adventures is a surf, stand-up paddleboard and kayak school operating from Borth beach, founded in 2009 by two instructors who had previously run surf schools in Tywyn and Abersoch. The school teaches beginners through to advanced surfers and paddleboarders, hires equipment including boards and wetsuits, and also runs SUP and kayak sessions inland at Llyn Pendam in the Cambrian mountains. Coaches hold British Stand Up Paddleboard Association qualifications, and the operation is licensed under the Adventure Activities Licensing scheme. Sessions run for individuals, families and larger groups, with tailored coaching for different ability levels. The business holds the Disability Sport Wales inclusive sport standard. It is based at the Borth Lifeboat Station site opposite the town's Nisa store, at the southern end of Borth's long shingle-and-sand beach, and operates as a single independently owned school rather than a franchise.
