Afan Cycles, trading as Afan Outdoor Leisure, has sold and serviced bikes from Unit 25 on the Glan yr Afon Industrial Estate at Llanbadarn Fawr for close to two decades, run as a single family-owned shop rather than part of a wider retail group. The shop carries road, gravel, hybrid and mountain bikes from Corratec, Tern, Viking, ICE and Pinarello, alongside parts, accessories and cycling clothing for year-round riding on the Cambrian Coast. Its workshop handles repairs and servicing for customers' own bikes as well as those bought in store. Afan also runs the town's bicycle hire operation, with electric bikes, standard adult and children's bikes, and tandems available by the half day, full day or week, giving visitors without their own transport a way to reach the promenade, Trans Cambrian Way and the forestry trails inland from Aberystwyth.
