The Stubborn Duckling moved into the Victoria Hotel on Victoria Street in Aberaeron after starting out in a former florist's shop on the town square. Chef Dan Powell runs the kitchen with his wife Emma front of house; the pair returned to west Wales after running a pub in Felin Fach and named the restaurant after their daughter Lina's childhood fondness for ducks. The menu runs from snacks and small plates through to coal-grilled Welsh beef, pork and lamb, alongside dishes such as tikka masala and pie. Sunday service runs midday to four with a separate roast menu; the restaurant does not open for dinner on Sundays. It has been shortlisted in the Observer Food Monthly Awards for its Sunday roast.
