Allandale House occupies a sandstone building dating from 1873 on Corriegills Road, close to the Brodick ferry terminal, and has operated as a guesthouse for more than fifty years under a succession of owners. Mitch and Tess took over the running of the house in April 2022, offering six ensuite rooms, four smaller doubles and two larger annexe rooms, along with a sunny resident's lounge and a garden guests can sit out in. Breakfast follows the traditional Scottish format, and dogs travelling with guests are welcomed as house guests rather than an afterthought. The building's age shows through in its quirks, from uneven floors to older fittings, which the current owners treat as part of the house's character rather than something to smooth away before visitors arrive.
