Beans Boats has run seal-watching trips from Morston Quay for more than eighty years, taking passengers up Morston Creek and into Blakeney Harbour to see grey and common seals hauled out along Blakeney Point. The hour-long trips run daily through summer and continue regularly over winter, weather and tides permitting, using a fleet of five custom-built ferries. Along the way, boats pass the Blakeney lifeboat station and give views over one of Europe's significant sites for migratory and resident birds. Bookings are taken by telephone only, with no online booking fee, and payment is due on the day, preferably in cash. Passengers need to be able to board with minimal crew assistance, and trips depend on tidal conditions, so departure times shift through the year. Dogs and children are welcome on board.
