The Gallery

The Gallery has exhibited artwork in Holt since 1972, making it the longest-running gallery in the town. It was founded by Michael Hill together with his parents, Ruth and John, and passed down through the family; today it's owned and managed by Adrian Hill, who works alongside exhibitions manager Georgie Revell and his daughter Sophie, putting the gallery into its third generation of family ownership. Located at 23 Lees Yard, just off Bull Street, the gallery shows contemporary and modern British painting and sculpture, with exhibitions changing through the year to feature both established and emerging artists. A sister space, Adrian Hill Fine Art, opened nearby in 2013 and focuses on works by Royal Academicians and other established British painters, but the two operate as separate galleries with their own programmes.
