Caper & Cure opened in 2019 inside Tucketts Buildings on Stokes Croft, a former grocery and provisions store dating to the 1890s that later traded as a cash chemist, giving the restaurant its name. It was founded by chefs Craig Summers and Giles Coram, who met working at the now-closed Wallfish Bistro; Coram remains owner, with Matty Groves, formerly of Bath's Menu Gordon Jones, now leading the kitchen. The menu changes with the seasons and is built around a wine list sourced largely from small European growers. The restaurant was named among The Good Food Guide's 100 Best Local Restaurants for both 2023 and 2024. It trades from this single Stokes Croft site, seating diners across rooms retained from the building's original chemist-shop layout.
