A family-run riverside hotel one mile from Llangollen town centre on the A539, established 1828. Thirty-three rooms, many with balconies over the fast-flowing River Dee, the two hundred-year-old chain bridge and the steam railway; canalside and ground-floor rooms are quieter, some dog-friendly. Breakfast, lunch and dinner use locally sourced ingredients, and the public bar pours local real ales. Open seven days March to October, Thursday to Sunday in November, December and February, closed January.
