Charlie's Bar has stood at 1 Church Street in Enniskillen since 1944, when Charlie and Bea Burns opened it as the White Star Bar, serving farmers, locals and American servicemen stationed nearby at Castle Archdale during the Second World War. Charlie's son Gerry carried out a refurbishment and renamed the bar in his father's honour; it passed in 2021 to Gerry's daughter Una, making it a three-generation family business. The bar keeps an open fire and an off-sales counter and hosts weekly traditional music sessions, a fixture since its early years. It is among Enniskillen's older family-run pubs and has an upstairs lounge used for private functions. Opening hours run Monday to Wednesday 11.30am to 11pm, Thursday to Saturday 11.30am to 1am, and Sunday 12.30pm to 1am. The bar continues to trade as an independent, single-site business under the Burns family, more than eighty years after it first opened its doors on Church Street.
