D2 TheCreative Centre

D2 The Creative Centre began in 2002, when Craig McKechnie started running classes from his own home on Carronvale Road under the name Delta Studios. The business grew into a converted unit on Lochlands Business Park, now holding fifteen resident artists' studios ranging from small desks to full painting rooms, let on long and short leases. Craig's son Adam McKechnie took over as director in 2020 and still runs the weekly programme of classes, covering painting, jewellery making, botanical illustration, screen printing and general craft, alongside dedicated sessions for children and teenagers. A first-floor exhibition space hosts changing shows of members' work and doubles as a venue for talks and small events. Life drawing sessions run monthly on a Sunday, ticketed separately from the regular class timetable.
