Escot has been the private estate of the Kennaway family near Ottery St Mary since 1794, its grounds open to visitors for a beech hedge maze, a walled kitchen garden and woodland trails through 220 acres of parkland. The house also operates as a wedding and conference venue, run independently of the neighbouring wildlife attraction.
