Foursticks is a picture-framing workshop and contemporary art gallery on Falkland's High Street, opposite Falkland Palace, established by Joe Nicholson in 2008. The gallery has supported Fife and Scottish artists and makers since opening, hanging a changing selection of paintings, prints and glasswork alongside a retail counter of cards and gifts. Framing is carried out on the premises, with Nicholson handling bespoke commissions for local artists and collectors rather than sending work out to a trade framer. The gallery takes part in Open Studios North Fife each year, opening its workshop space to visitors alongside its regular exhibitions. It is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, with occasional midweek closures posted on social media. The shop remains independently owned and trades from the single Falkland premises it has occupied since opening.
