Frank Owens' Bar has traded from 50 Main Street, Limavady, since 1852, established as a spirit grocer and named for the family member who bottled his own Guinness on the premises. The single-site pub, still family owned, keeps its Victorian bar counter beneath the Roe Valley's Binevenagh mountain. In May 2016 Tourism Ireland installed door number five of the ten Game of Thrones doors carved from a fallen beech at the Dark Hedges inside the bar, depicting scenes from the show's sixth series and drawing visitors from overseas since. The bar keeps traditional hours, closing on Sundays, and pours a changing line-up of local ales alongside the usual optics. Its frontage and interior fittings have changed little across three generations of the same family.
