Horseshoe Cottage Farm is a working farm on Roecliffe Road in Cropston, in the Charnwood Forest area between Leicester and Loughborough, close to Bradgate Park. The family that farms the land also runs three en-suite bedrooms for bed and breakfast guests and a separate self-contained cottage for self-catering stays, with home-cooked meals available by prior arrangement. Bread, jam, marmalade and honey served to guests are made on site, the honey from the farm's own bees. The business won the VisitEngland Silver Award for B&B and Guest House excellence in 2022. Guests receive organic toiletries and homemade cakes on arrival, and the farm promotes low-waste and energy-conscious practices across its operation. It is independently owned and run directly by the farming family rather than let through a holiday-letting brand, and East Midlands Airport is around 20 minutes away by car, making it a base for both rural stays and short business trips.
