Ingnet Antiques was founded in 1999 by Paul and Sue Ing and has traded from 40 Horse Market in Barnard Castle since 2010, now run day-to-day by Paul alongside his son Charlie. The shop specialises in the Arts and Crafts movement, dealing in furniture and decorative pieces by makers including Robert "Mouseman" Thompson, the Keswick School of Industrial Art, Arthur Simpson of Kendal and Stanley Webb Davies, alongside period retailers such as Liberty & Co. Paul Ing developed his interest in the movement while overseeing refurbishment work on a C.F. Voysey-designed building in London during the 1980s. The business has attracted local press coverage for individual sales, including a single Mouseman piece that sold for around £20,000. Ingnet opens Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 3pm, with Sunday and Monday visits available by appointment. It trades as a single shop rather than a multi-site dealership, dealing directly with collectors and interior designers as well as passing browsers in the town.
