M Battams Butchers has traded on Beatrice Street in Oswestry since 1978, run by Mo and Kev Battams, with Kev's wife Jo responsible for the shop's handmade pies. The counter carries beef, pork, lamb, chicken, turkey and game including venison, duck and pheasant, sourced from Welsh farms, alongside a range of sausages such as a sweet chilli variety and other prepared dishes made on the premises. The business also runs a local delivery service for customers in the surrounding area. It remains a family-run concern, trading under the same name and from the same premises since it opened. The shop closes on Sundays and keeps butcher's hours through the rest of the week, opening early to catch trade before the working day.
