Olland Bookshop occupies a shopfront on Upper Olland Street in Bungay, a market town on the River Waveney in north Suffolk. The shop stocks several thousand secondhand books across most subjects, alongside a range of new titles, with dedicated sections for local history and children's books. Shelving runs floor to ceiling with out-of-print fiction, Suffolk topography, and reference titles not widely stocked elsewhere in the area. Stock is taken in on a rolling basis from house clearances and private collections, and staff will look for specific titles on request. The shop is a short walk from Bungay's Buttercross and the town's Saturday market, within a conservation area of largely Georgian and earlier buildings. It opens Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, closed Sunday and Monday. As one of the few remaining bookshops in this stretch of the Waveney Valley, it serves as a working resource for local historians and regular browsers rather than a tourist-facing retailer.
