Oriel Tir a Môr occupies a High Street building in Borth, trading as Oriel Tir a Môr Cyf under the control of Finlay Byrne and Emma Jayne Byrne according to Companies House records. Downstairs, the gallery displays original paintings, prints, cards and photographs by Welsh artists, alongside ceramic tiles and a picture-framing counter, arranged around a fireside seating area. A staircase leads to an upstairs coffee lounge, its ceiling lined with hand-written Welsh verses, where windows look out toward Plynlimon, the Cambrian Mountains and Cors Fochno, the bog behind the village. The kitchen serves speciality coffee, hot chocolate and home-made cakes alongside stone-baked pizzas, panini and Welsh beef burgers through the day. The name recalls the legend of Cantre'r Gwaelod, the land said to lie beneath Cardigan Bay, whose flooded forest remains are still visible on Borth's beach at low tide in winter.
