Out OfJoint Records

Out Of Joint Records is an independent record and clothing shop on the first floor of Silver Arcade, a Victorian shopping arcade in central Leicester. The vinyl selection leans toward underground and dance-oriented music, covering ambient and experimental, house and techno, reggae and dub, drum and bass, UK garage, jazz and folk, mixing new releases with second-hand stock. Alongside records and cassettes, it carries a tightly edited range of streetwear labels such as Carhartt WIP, The Trilogy Tapes and Cav Empt, plus books and magazines. The upstairs arcade location gives it a low-key, browse-friendly feel away from the main high-street chains. It is a single-site, independently run shop, and functions as much as a hub for the city's electronic and crate-digging scene as a straightforward retailer.
