Padstow Gallery on Lanadwell Street was founded by Liz Francis and sources work directly from the makers it represents rather than through wholesale suppliers. The gallery deals in hand-thrown ceramics, sculpture, limited edition prints and jewellery alongside paintings, showing artists including seascape painter Ben Lucas, ceramicist Megan Gant and silversmith Emma Goold. Francis frames the collection around the idea of edges, the point where Cornish land meets sky and sea, favouring work that responds to the coastline and its wildlife. Every piece is described as handmade, with the emphasis placed on the maker's own technique rather than mass production. The gallery sits among Padstow's cluster of independent shops just back from the harbour.
