Jay Rahman took over his uncle's traditional curry house on Bath Road in 2011 and relaunched it as Prithvi the following year, moving the kitchen toward a tasting-menu format that pairs Indian spicing with French technique. After a spell trading from another Cheltenham address, the restaurant returned to its original Bath Road site and holds a Michelin star.
