Stephen Sparshott brews Seagate's beers from a purpose-built shed on the shore at Lamlash, having moved into professional brewing in 2020 after years of homebrewing on kitchen-scale equipment. The range leans Belgian in style, with a few Scottish stouts and ales alongside it; some batches are brewed on a second installation at Arran Botanical Drinks in Brodick. Seagate's Monday Morning Mocha, a cask-conditioned stout, won Scottish Beer of the Year at the Glasgow Real Ale Festival in 2025. The brewery holds a wholesaler's licence rather than a retail one, so it cannot sell direct to the public from the shed; instead, Seagate beers are served at the Glenisle Hotel, the Burlington Hotel and The Parlour in Lamlash, and sold at Arran Active. Visits to the brewery itself are by appointment, arranged directly with Sparshott by phone or email.
